Antique wooden chunky picture frame Victorian Edwardian (circa 1890–1910) Vintage rustic cottage

Solid wood chunky frame with a deep, stepped moulded profile and a naturally aged finish. The frame retains its original rope-and-ring hanging loop, typical of English frames from this period. This the one that everyone comments on as the frame is just lovely! The picture is a high-quality textured rural landscape print depicting a farmhouse and harvest scene. The image surface is intentionally textured to imitate brushwork, a common technique used in late 19th-century decorative prints, giving the appearance of an oil painting. The reverse retains an English trade label reading “Carvers & Gilders – Picture Makers & Restorers – England”, as per photos which further supports the age and origin of the frame. Condition is good for its age, with honest signs of wear and patina throughout - really giving it that vintage rustic feel. Minor surface marks and age-related wear to the frame, consistent with over a century of use. The print shows even age toning with no major damage. A charming and authentic antique decorative piece, ideal for traditional, farmhouse, cottagecore, or period interiors.
